How fit do I need to be to participate?
You don’t need to be highly fit to complete our assessments, though a basic level of physical activity helps. Each test is designed to measure how your body responds to exercise, not just your athletic performance, and can be safely adjusted to your current fitness level.

How do I prepare for my assessment?
·Not necessarily! You don’t need to be highly fit to complete our assessments, though a basic level of physical activity helps. Each test is designed to measure how your body responds to exercise, not just your athletic performance, and can be safely adjusted to your current fitness level. Common tests regarding this question include: o VO₂max & Lactate Threshold Tests: Gradually increase intensity to fatigue; safely measure oxygen use and endurance capacity to define training zones (like Zone 2). o Zone 2 Training Assessment: Identifies your personal heart rate range for moderate, fat-burning exercise; suitable for most fitness levels. o Wingate Test: A brief, 30-second all-out cycling test of anaerobic power; intense but safe with medical clearance. o Biodex Test: Measures muscular strength, balance, and stability; not dependent on aerobic fitness. o Substrate Utilization Test (Fatmax): Evaluates fat vs. carbohydrate use at different intensities; generally submaximal and accessible for most people.
