Field Trips
The CHAMP Center offers high school students a unique opportunity to explore the science of health, wellness, and human performance through hands-on experiences. Our field trips allow students to connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, whether in biology, physiology, sports science, or health education. Students gain firsthand experience with assessments like DEXA, VO₂max, Biodex, and marker-less Gait Analysis, giving them a deeper understanding of the science behind human performance.
These field trips are not only educational, they’re interactive, engaging, and designed to inspire curiosity. Schools often pair the visit with lessons or labs in their curriculum to provide students with a practical, hands-on extension of what they’re learning in the classroom.

General Information

Group Size: We can accommodate up to 40 students per field trip. Students must be pre-grouped by their school staff before arrival.

Schedule: Tours and activities typically run between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

Activities: The visit begins with a guided tour of the CHAMP Center, where we explain the various tests we offer. Students are then invited to participate in some of our most common assessments, including DEXA, VO₂max, Biodex, and marker-less Gait Analysis.

Required Forms: Each participating student must submit a completed Par-Q form and Parent Permission Slip to CHAMP Center staff on the day of the trip. These forms can be accessed below. Even students who are unsure about participating are encouraged to complete the forms in advance, as many students decide to join on the day of the visit and cannot participate without them.

Lunch: We do not provide lunch, but there is plenty of scheduled time for students to bring and eat their own meals.
